(Superhero October) Wrinkles: Now You See Them, Now You Don’t

So beauty blogger Maybeline wished for the power of invisibility in a Facebook Superhero October post. We can’t grant anyone that power but what we can do is help you reduce and wipe off the signs of ageing.

One of our beauty weapons is the “Super Trio RF Treatment” that is the highlight of Halley’s Signature Firm It Up Facial ($220 for 90 mins).

Why we created this facial
Jaw-slimming Botox® and 3D projection with fillers are great minimally invasive aesthetic treatments for attaining that v-shaped face. But for ladies who are not ready for such treatments, Halley’s Signature Firm It Up Facial is a great alternative for firming and toning the face over time to attain a slimmer face. Plus it is a mini face-lift, making you look younger by tightening the skin and removing fine lines. It is also perfect for those who have gone for jaw shaping and face slimming aesthetic treatments to maintain the v-shaped look.

POW! factor:
– Tightens loose skin
– Smoothens wrinkles
– Gives a facelift that’s instant and painless

Super Trio RF Treatment For Firmer, Slimmer, and More Youthful Skin
At Halley, we believe good things come in threes. A critical part of this signature facial lies in the Super Trio RF Treatment that combines:

Multi-polar radio frequency (RF) + Red light-emitting diode (LED) therapy + Vacuum-suction lymph massage

Magic Pot: The machine behind our Super Trio RF Treatment
Magic Pot: The machine behind our Super Trio RF Treatment

This Super Trio RF Treatment gives a slimming and skin tightening massage to the face. Our signature firming cream is applied to the face before the start of this treatment. This treatment targets the much-needed areas (e.g. cheeks, under the eyes) to contour and slim the face, addresses sagging skin by tightening it, removes fine wrinkles, and encourages collagen regeneration.

Multi-polar RF technology is used here as opposed to the common mono-polar RF as it is safer and more effective. This therapy combines very well with LED therapy, a light-based treatment, and lymph massage for a complete tightening and firming of the face. When done by an experienced therapist trained in manual lymph drainage (MLD), this vacuum-based lymph massage detoxifies, aids healing, and delivers nutrients to where they’re needed most. And as we age, any treatment that can boost collagen is most welcome and LED therapy is one of them. It plumps up ageing skin by boosting collagen production.

Our Beauty Weapons
Central to the success of all our facials is a skincare system that delivers nutrients and beauty compounds to where they are needed most. This goes back to our philosophy of pairing the best-of-the-best in medical technology with the highest-grade cosmeceuticals. Only then can we deliver the results that we promise in our facials, which are conceptualised by Dr. Terence Tan, Director of Halley Medical Aesthetics. That is why Dr. Tan makes sure that things like DMAE (or Dimethylaminoethanol), Carnosine, Vitamin C, and Panthenol are applied to the skin from the get-go – during the cleansing process – and throughout the facial. This ensures that the key ingredients penetrate the epidermis, dermis, and right down to the muscle tissue to lift and tighten the face.

Dr. Tan has identified some key ingredients in Halley’s Signature Firm It Up Facial that deliver the results that he is looking for. Here’re some of our beauty weapons:

Beauty Weapon #1: DMAE
DMAE gives what we like to call that mini Botox lift. It is the actual precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which controls muscle tones (tension) in human bodies through synapse. This neurotransmitter decreases secretions in our brains related to aging, which causes wrinkles and sagging skin. The products we use during the facial have a high concentration of DMAE to help remove wrinkles and sagging skin.

Beauty Weapon #2: Carnosine
It is a protein building block that is naturally produced in the body and is used to prevent aging. Targeted at the dermis, this anti-oxidant gets rid of destructive free radicals and advanced glycation end products (AGEs). Studies have proven that carnosine prolongs the life and activity of fibroblasts, thereby inducing the production of more collagen. This leads to firming and lifting of facial skin.

Beauty Weapon #3: Hyaluronic acid and panthenol
They bring the much-needed moisture back to the skin, hydrating the skin and encouraging moisture retention such that it removes visible fine lines.

Beauty Weapon #4: Vitamin C and vitamin B
Vitamin C helps whiten the skin and combats time’s effect on the skin while vitamin B gives us healthy skin that glows.

Beauty Weapon #5: Alpha lipoic acid
This fatty acid possesses strong anti-oxidant properties, tackling free radical damage that contributes to aging and chronic illness.
