Whether young or old, ladies worry about wrinkles, pigmentation problems, uneven skin tone, pore size, and pimple issues.
Of the many facial treatments available, people often talk about going for either intense pulsed light (IPL) or laser treatments to address their skincare problems. But do you know that you can get a deeper cleanse and rejuvenation when you combine both laser and light therapies?
At Halley Medical Aesthetics, they have decided to do combine light and laser rejuvenation within a single treatment to maximise the benefits of both treatments.
How does this treatment work?
“Light therapy is often overlooked by people as a form of facial rejuvenation. Modern, medical grade IPL machines have made much progress since the earlier days making it safer and more effective,” says Dr. Terence Tan, founder of Halley. He explains that medical-grade IPLs now have broader wavelengths than lasers, allowing doctors to rejuvenate a wider spectrum of skin structures and depths.
“We tune our medical-grade IPL to emit lower and broader wavelengths, to treat the superficial layer of the skin. We then use the higher wavelength of our laser to remove pigments deeper within the skin, make the pores smaller, and rejuvenate the face by reducing fine lines. This synergistic marriage of two treatments is our recipe for better skin,” says Dr. Tan.
